What We Do
Bring comfort and joy with a delicious meal!
Looking to give back and nourish families facing a difficult time? Our 'Meals from the Heart' program is a fantastic way to do just that!
We know a home-cooked meal can bring a sense of normalcy and comfort, especially for families staying at the Ronald McDonald House while their child receives medical care. Here's how your group can participate:
- Choose a menu: Pick a delicious and satisfying meal to share.
- Gather the ingredients: We can help you with a shopping list if needed.
- Prepare the feast: Cook a meal for 20-25 people in our fully equipped kitchen.
- Time it right: Breakfast should be ready between 7:00 AM and 8:00 AM, dinner between 5:00 PM and 6:00 PM.
- Safety first: All food preparation happens in our kitchen for hygiene reasons. Meals can also be catered from a restaurant.
- Cooking time: Plan on spending about 1.5 hours cooking, packaging, and cleaning.
Need something special? Let us know in advance if your recipe requires any specific cookware.
Packaging (Optional): Disposable aluminum trays make serving and storing the meal a breeze.
Group power: Gather up to 10 volunteers (all 18 or older) to join the fun! Children are welcome, but must be supervised by an adult within the house.
